David James Elliot David James Elliot (JAG) has landed a leading role in the upcoming science fiction miniseries, Impact. The project has a budget of $13 million, and is being produced by Muse Entertainment, Jaffe/Braunstein Entertainment, and Tandem Communications. Michael Vickerman (Superfire) wrote the script. The story begins when a large meteor shower falls on our fair planet, wreaking havoc on the environment...
The folks on Earth are soon dealing with such oddball side affects as sporadic loss of gravity and loss of cell phone service. (And really, if you fell off the planet, wouldn't you at least want to call someone and tell them about it?) As if that weren't bad enough, scientists quickly realize that a passing fragment of dwarf star has collided with the moon, and there it remains, bringing about what might be the end of the world. Elliot will be playing an astrophysicist brought in to study the problem and search for a solution - otherwise, it's bye-bye Earth as a wildly careening moon starts out on a collision course... Shooting begins later this month, but it's still unclear as to wether or not this project already has a network home or not.
