During the recent Saturn Awards, Zack Snyder confirmed that Legendary Pictures has made a 300 follow-up film a high-priority project. Creator Frank Miller is writing the graphic novel which the film will be based on, however, Legendary intends for Snyder to direct the film.

Since nearly all of the major characters died in the original film, a sequel is going to be tricky. And for now, everyone is keeping their ideas under wraps. So, it's unclear if this will be a prequel, a spin-off, or perhaps even a trip into Tarturus.
