'TMNT' - The Sequel!

TMNT If you love turtles (and who doesn't?) then you'll be pleased to know that a new movie is in the works. According to a statement on the Playmates Toys website, "Mirage Licensing is in negotiations with several companies about a new TMNT movie for release in 2010." The announcement was revised from an earlier version, which gleefully described the upcoming "live-action" film...

We're assuming that was edited because the turtles themselves were CG (a fact that isn't likely to change in future versions unless some really dedicated actors invent some pretty freaky gene mutations... and we're not gonna hold our breath for that one).

Apparently, the CG / live-action movie back in 2007 actually did make a profit (who knew?), so of course the need for a sequel is firm in the minds of corporate higher-ups at Playmates. All we have to say about the matter is - COWABUNGA!!!!
