Shia LaBeouf - Not at Fault in Wreck

There's yet another swirl of controversy around Shia LaBeouf - this time, he was initially charged with misdemeanor DUI after rolling his truck over in Hollywood at 2:30 AM. But, we have just learned that after further investigation,... the Hollywood sheriff's dept has charged the driver of the other vehicle with running a red light and causing the crash.

Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the sheriff's department, said that LaBeouf was "not at fault" in the accident. It is unclear at this time if the DUI charges will be dropped. Previously, police officer Sgt. Kristin Aloma had stated that LaBeouf "was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication" at the time of the accident.

Last year, charges of misdemeanor criminal trespass were dropped against the actor after a drunken outburst inside a Chicago area Walgreens. He later joked with David Letterman that drinking & shopping is nearly as bad as drinking and driving. Let's hope he takes this latest event as a lesson and hires a cab next time...
