Fans Go Nuts over 'Jericho' Cancellation

After making the official announcement that Jericho will not be renewed, CBS bigwigs are having to fend off the nuts. That's snacks, not crazy people. In the season finale of the show, Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich) answered an attacking town's demands for surrender with the simple word, "Nuts," borrowed from US general Anthony C. McAuliffe response to German forces in World War II. Now, fans are saying the same thing. NutsOnline.com is offering a steep discount on nuts for the cause - it's as easy as "click" to send your support for the show to CBS Senior VP of Programming and Planning Kelly Kahl, or... CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler. So far, over $5690 pounds have been sent to the pair.

In an effort to placate angry fans, Tassler offered gratitude to the fans for supporting the show, and hinted that the network would try to piece together some type of ending for the series, which was left at a major cliffhanger.
