Jessica AlbaWell she is no newbie at playing a superhero but lately some of her movies just sucked ass like "The Eye" and "The Love Guru," but now Jessica Alba has decided to say screw you to those guys with the crappy movie scripts and is really focusing on getting her career back on track. To start with Alba is set to appear in the third "Meet the Parents" film, in Casey Affleck's "The Killer Inside Me" that requires a bit of nudity which we will all drool over, and she has just completed filming "An Invisible Sing of My Own," a film based on a novel by Aimee Bender.

Joshua JacksonWell it seems that Joshua Jackson from "Fringe" has a thing for playing roles that deal with weirdness as he will be starring in an upcoming alien film called "UFO," which will be the big screen version of the British TV series. It is set to be directed by visual effects wizard Matthew Gratzner. Seems though that two newcomers Ryan Gaudet and Joseph Kanarek are writing the script.

Nicolas Cage in Season of the WitchFandango has unveiled the full trailer for the upcoming fantasy/thriller "Season of the Witch," starring Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman." The new film is directed by Dominic Sena, the man behind "Gone in Sixty Seconds," "Swordfish" and "Whiteout." It is scheduled to hit theaters on March 19th, 2010. Check it out below.

Idris ElbaIdris Elba who starred in Obsessed and RocnRolla has joined the cast of "Thor," the Marvel Studios film centering on none other than the Norse god of thunder, Thor. We already knew that Chris Hemsworth will star as Thor; Tom Hiddleston will play Loki, and Natalie Portman will portray Jane Foster, Thor's love interest .

Elba will play non other than Heimdall, the Guardian of Asgard, he stands guard on the BiFrost Bridge ready to defend the city from all intruders.

Michael Shanks as HawkmanWe have another great storyline coming to Smallville that should be as good if not better than last season's "Legions," and our expectations are high as Geoff Johns a comic book writer who wrote "Legions" is also writing two episodes called "Society" and "Legends."  This arc will introduce Hawkman, Stargirl and Dr. Fate. This will be a two hour special event on the CW here in the US with both episodes being televised back to back on January 29, 2010.

Independence Day PosterRoland Emmerich revealed that he was planning to make a sequel to "Independence Day," about a month ago. Fright NightWe knew back in May that DreamWorks was working on a deal with Screen Gems to get the rights to "Fright Night," with the intent to remake the movie. Well we now have some new info and good news that shows that this project is moving ahead as word that "Mad Men" writer/producer Marti Noxon has been hired to write the script. Noxon is no newbie to vampires as she previously written and produced for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" TV series.
