We have another great storyline coming to Smallville that should be as good if not better than last season's "Legions," and our expectations are high as Geoff Johns a comic book writer who wrote "Legions" is also writing two episodes called "Society" and "Legends." This arc will introduce Hawkman, Stargirl and Dr. Fate. This will be a two hour special event on the CW here in the US with both episodes being televised back to back on January 29, 2010.

In an article about toys getting the big screen treatment, The Wall Street Journal mentioned that JJ Abrams (Star Trek) is in-talks to produce a movie about the Micronauts, a Japanese toy line that was recently acquired by Hasbro.
Well here is another great film thats on the list for a remake, Stephen Norrington has signed on to write and direct a reinvention of "The Crow," based on the comic created by James O'Barr. Relativity Media is in negotiations with producer Ed Pressman to acquire the rights to the film franchise and to finance the film.
Well with so many comic books being adapted for the big screen it seems everyone is wanting to get on board and have a try at it but at least this time it's a bit more science fiction. Writer-director Joby Harold (Awake) is in negotians to write the adaptation of the comic book "Atlantis Rising" for DreamWorks. Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) is also attached to direct this apocalyptic science fiction project.
Well it's about damn time we have gotten some info on "Tron 2." Production Weekly is reporting that the upcoming "Tron" sequel, which has been going by the name "Tr2n," has been renamed. The studio decided not to go with the obvious "Tron 2," to use the very famous brand name, but instead went with "TRZ."
"The Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan talked to the LA Times about the upcoming "Justice League of America," movie which Warner Bros has been delaying but still plans to make. Nolan strongly believes that Batman is absolutely needed in the "JLA" film, but he also thinks that the Batman that he has developed in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" will not fit into a universe where Superman exists.
For those of you that are interested, during a press junket for "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," fat boy Seth Rogen revealed that he'll be slimming down to play the title role in "The Green Hornet," a superhero movie based on a screenplay by Rogen and Evan Goldberg. "You need to physically believe I can run around and jump over shit and punch people," Rogen told Sci-Fi Wire. "It's all just to serve the movie. Comic book or not, it's just a commitment to the movie. I mean, it just works better that I'm a guy who is in better shape."
Saturday night Spike TV presented the third annual "Scream" awards, where good ole George Lucas won the Comic-Con Icon Award, Anthony Hopkins received the Legend Award, Wes Craven collected the Scream Mastermind Award and Tim Burton received the Scream Immortal Award.
Warner Bros has tapped Brad Ingelsby to write an adaptation of the DC Comics "Sleeper," written by Ed Brubaker and is being produced by Sam Raimi with Star Road Entertainment partner Josh Donen.
