Here's some odd, but cool, news on the Star Trek front: Tyler Perry, aka the big black down-to-earth Southern matriarch Madea, has landed a role in the upcoming Star Trek feature film from JJ Abrams. (While we love Madea, we're going to hope and assume that he's not in his trademark drag for this one!!) This is Perry's first gig in a film which is not his own, and we're hoping it leads to more for this talented actor/director/producer...

He'll always be Mr. Eko to Lost fans - but it's great to see that the talented Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has landed a role in a decent feature film. He'll play the part of Heavy Duty, with the rest of the announced cast as follows:
