Sigourney Weaver hosted this weeks Saturday Night Live, which of course was full of references to Avatar. James Cameron even appeared on the show to pitch his latest movie idea to Lorne Michaels.

The Halcyon company bought the rights to the Terminator franchise for $25 million two years ago, they went on to make Terminator Salvation. Well as we all know that didn't work out to well for them, so Halcyon in it's glories wisdom is now auctioning off the rights and think the price should be more than double what they paid for it, they are basing this off the $60 million that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles went for.

Awhile back we reported that James Cameron had someone create an entirely new language for the 'Avatar' film. The new language was used in the movie by the Na'vi (the blue folks with the tails) on several occasions to say such things as "hey listen" and "you like baby."

Comic-Book legend Stan Lee had a sit down with MTV News about which of its 5,000 characters Marvel is working on to bring to the big screen. "Doctor Strange I'm sure will be out," he said. "You probably know they're working on Ant-Man now."

Well here is some more proof in the pudding that Sci-Fi and fantasy is kicking ass and that science fiction is very much alive and is in no danger of going extinct anytime soon. Yahoo has unveiled its list of the most popular movie trailers of the year for 2009 and this year's top honor was none other than 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon.' Trailers for both 'New Moon' and 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,' which took second place, were watched over a whopping 20 million times each. Though these are impressive numbers it's not incredibly surprising since the films were huge blockbusters.

Well James Cameron I think good ole George Lucas got that jab in on ya, just as a reminder that he is still a major player both in Hollywood and on Wall Street as Darth Vader and a number of Storm Troopers from the Star Wars franchise rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange representing Lucas Film Ltd. Even R2-D2 made an appearance and rolled around on the stock exchange floor. Check out the video below.
