V The 1983 miniseries 'V' about alien lizards visiting Earth that spawned a second mini series and a short lived regular TV series has been picked up by ABC and Warner Brothers TV is producing it. The new 'V' will be a totally new reimaging and not based on the original which was a thinly-veiled allegory of the Holocaust and Nazi Germany. Scott Peters (The 4400) who also wrote the second 'V' mini series and the TV series spin off is writing and will be the executive producer of the new version.

Heroes banner

The decline of folks watching "Heroes" continued Monday as the show hit a new ratings low, leaving NBC well behind ABC and CBS for the night. I have to admit I haven't been been watching Heroes the first night it airs this season, but I do record the show on the good ole DVR and watch it later in the week when I'm just bored to death. I wasn't impressed by the Season 3 premier last week at all, they said the show was getting back to it's roots like it was in Season 1 but I haven't seen that prevail yet...

Fringe Apparently this JJ Abrams fellow knows how to make a TV show that appeals to folks. Whether it's Alias and Lost on ABC and now Fringe on FOX – Abrams is continually putting out television series that just draw in the numbers and that he has become a force to be reckoned with. FOX agrees (after seeing the ratings) – and has given the new series a full season of 22 episodes. The show has some enormous numbers and seems to be settling in at around 10 million viewers...
