‘Battlestar Galactica’ Final Season Begins January 16

“Galactica” will of course pick up from June’s dramatic cliffhanger that has kept us scratching our heads, due to the fact that the Colonial fleet and the Cylon allies finally discover Earth, only to find it a desolate nuclear wasteland.

The final 10 episodes will end with the ultimate finale on March 20, 2009.

Those wanting just a bit more “Battlestar” can also look forward to the previously announced “Battlestar Galactica” two-hour special next year starring Michael Trucco, Aaron Douglas and Dean Stockwell reprising their roles as Sam T. Anders, Chief Galen Tyrol and Cavil. And don’t forget that there is also a spin-off in the works called “Caprica”.

Supergirl is a Cylon?

There have been some recent rumors coming from joblo.com that Warner Brothers is seeking to resurrect the ‘Supergirl’ film franchise. Rumors coming from the site also say that Superman’s little cousin might be portrayed by ‘Battlestar Galactica’ star Tricia Helfer. The choice for the lead role seems a bit puzzling to many as Tricia Helfer is 33 and Supergirl would be portrayed near college age in the film. Some speculate that this may be a casting rumor in regards to the upcoming Wonder Woman film. The first Supegirl film debuted in 1984 with Helen Slater in the role and also featured Peter O’Toole and Faye Dunaway.
