‘Push’ Movie Turns into New TV Series

The studio has just announced that it has partnered with E1 Entertainment to develop and produce a TV series based on Push and has hired screenwriter David Hayter (Watchmen, X2) to pen the script for the series pilot.

The new series will purportedly be an extension of the science-fiction thriller, centered on people with paranormal powers who band together to take down a corrupt government agency.

DirectTV First to Launch 3D Channel

Just two days ago (December 28th), the company blasted a new satellite into orbit, which will give DirectTV the capacity to add a 3D channel and several additional HD channels. The satellite will be fully operational by March. The new 3D-HDTV broadcast will require people to purchase a new 3D compatible HD TV, many of which will be showcased at CES 2010, 3D glasses, and probably the new soon-to-be-available HDMI 1.4 adapters. DirectTV boxes will receive a firmware upgrade, so there won’t be need to change them.

So are you willing to buy a completely new 3D HD TV and all the equipment necessary just to enjoy one channel [at the moment] in 3D? Tell us if you think it’s worth it.
